About Us
About UsIroquois Memorial Hospital & Resident Home
In 1916, Anna Donovan donated funds to build a public hospital in Watseka, Illinois in memory of her husband, John L. Donovan. That gift created a 25-bed facility named the Iroquois Hospital. That original facility has grown into a comprehensive regional medical facility that now serves 50,000 residents in a bi-state, five-county area.
On its main campus in Watseka, and through a network of Satellite Clinics, Iroquois Memorial serves the healthcare needs of residents in east-central Illinois and west-central Indiana.
With 49 staffed beds and over 70,000 patient visits per year, Iroquois Memorial provides a full range of medical specialties, comprehensive acute care, as well as, primary care and paramedic level pre-hospital services.
Iroquois Memorial's 24-hour Emergency Department is staffed with specially trained ER Physicians, Nurses and Technicians.
As a not-for-profit organization, Iroquois Memorial depends upon community support for its growth. Despite the closure of many rural hospitals throughout the state, Iroquois Memorial continues to grow and offer many new services.
Iroquois Memorial is a valuable asset to the area's residents who genuinely value quality healthcare that's close to home.
